Karen is not just the foundation of Umbrella Claims; she’s its heart and soul. Her foray into the insurance world began right out of high school and has spanned over three decades. From her initial days in New Zealand to her significant roles in Australia, Karen’s vast expertise encompasses being a claims manager, overseeing a team of 100+ staff, and working as a national assessment manager in Sydney.

Having settled on the Sunshine Coast 15 years ago, Karen’s passion for claims management is rooted in her innate desire to assist people. To her, insurance isn’t just a profession; it’s a way of helping people navigate some of life’s most challenging times.
